Our approach

Technology in the service of quality

World Standard

O2TR tested to ASTM F 1307-20

Oxygen permeability — the most critical parameter for sparkling wine closures — is measured according to the international standard ASTM F 1307-20 under controlled temperature and humidity conditions.

Tightness

Below 0.001 cc/package/24h

Our 29mm crown caps achieve O2TR values below 0.001 cc/package/24h — among the lowest available on the market for crown caps destined for secondary fermentation.

Real Tests

ACCREDIA-accredited laboratory

Tests are carried out by CSI — IMQ Group, an ACCREDIA-accredited laboratory, member of the international network ILAC-MRA. Test reports have international legal and scientific validity.

Our process

Quality control at every stage

Continuous monitoring

Every batch checked before shipment

Every batch of 29mm crown caps undergoes traction, pneumatic tightness and chemical analysis before shipment. Compliance with ISO 9001, FSSC 22000 and HACCP certifications is verified at every production cycle.

Our philosophy

Quality is not declared — it is measured

Mida Capsules drew inspiration from world leaders in packaging to develop a control system where every data point is measurable, documented and verifiable. Official test reports are available on request for every production batch.

"Every bottle we close represents months of work by the winery. Our responsibility is to ensure that nothing is compromised by the closure."

Technical questions

Frequently asked questions about technology

How is the O2TR of Mida crown caps measured?

The O2TR (Oxygen Transmission Rate) of Mida crown caps is measured according to the ASTM F 1307-20 standard by the ACCREDIA-accredited laboratory CSI — IMQ Group, at 23±1°C. Values reach below 0.001 cc/package/24h — among the lowest available for crown caps destined for secondary fermentation.

What certifications do Mida caps hold?

Mida crown caps are certified ISO 9001:2015 for quality management, FSSC 22000 for food safety and HACCP for critical control points in food production.

Are Mida crown caps MOCA certified?

Yes. All materials — aluminium, stainless steel AISI 304 and tin-plated steel — are MOCA certified (EC Regulation 1935/2004), guaranteeing absolute neutrality and zero chemical transfer.

Is it possible to request test reports for each batch?

Yes. Mida Capsules provides official Test Reports issued by the ACCREDIA-accredited laboratory CSI — IMQ Group for each production batch. Reports are available on request and accompany the technical documentation of each order.
